In the first year after launching the Deposit-Return System, RetuRO succeeded to collect 1 billion containers. On this special occasion, we thanked all Romanians who made this result possible.

OVERVIEW
The Deposit-Return System is based on the joint effort of authorities, producers, importers, retailers – big or small, HoReCa workers from bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and consumers. Reaching the milestone of 1 billion collected containers is a major success, that gives us hope in reaching the recycling targets that Romania adopted. We celebrated this moment through a campaign full of gratitude towards all those involved, presenting the journey of the containers from producers to consumers and the barriers that they have managed to overcome. The campaign is present on TV and in digital, PR and social media.
