Artificial intelligence is changing how the world works, thinks, and creates, and we’ve chosen to meet that change with intention rather than instinct. AI is a tool in our hands. It is not a hand on the wheel. Here is what that means in practice, and the standards we hold ourselves to every time we use it.

We use AI to move faster, explore further, and push our creative work into places it couldn’t reach alone. But people stay in charge, always. Every idea AI helps shape passes through human hands before it becomes something we’re proud to put our name on: reviewed, refined, and finished by the judgment only our team can bring.
Responsible and Ethical by Design
We think before we prompt. Every use of AI at Oxygen is weighed against its impact on the people it touches: our clients, their audiences, and the wider world. We build our practices around the EU AI Act and GDPR, not as boxes to tick but as guardrails for the kind of agency we choose to be. Confidential and personal information is never handed to a tool that hasn’t earned our trust, and we check our own outputs for bias before anyone else has to.

Not every AI tool earns a place in our workflow. Each one is vetted for security, data handling, and what happens to our work once it leaves our hands, then reassessed on a regular basis, because standards change and so do we. What makes the cut today might not tomorrow. That’s by design, not by accident.

AI gives us a starting point, never a finished one. Nothing generated by a machine reaches a client’s desk without a person standing behind it: checked for accuracy, shaped to fit the brief, held to the same bar we’ve always set for ourselves. No copy, no paste, no shortcuts.

Great ideas are the reason clients come to us, and we protect that fiercely. We don’t ask AI to imitate a living artist, borrow a competitor’s identity, or wear someone else’s likeness without permission. Every AI-assisted asset carries real human fingerprints — documented, defensible, ours — so that what we deliver is something only Oxygen could have made.
Transparent, Always
Trust is built in the details. When AI plays a meaningful role in something we deliver, our clients hear it from us first. Where the law asks us to label AI-generated content, including under the EU AI Act, we do, clearly and without being asked twice. Every piece of AI-assisted work carries a name behind it: someone accountable, someone who reviewed it, someone who stands by it.
Always Learning, Always Accountable
The technology moves fast, so we do too. Our team trains continuously, not only on what AI can do, but on where its limits sit and what our responsibilities remain. We track the regulations as they evolve, and we weigh the planet, not just the deadline, when we decide how and how much we use these tools.
AI should inspire, not replace. It is a collaborator, never a co-author of last resort. Held to these standards, it becomes something rarer: a tool powerful enough to expand what we can imagine, without ever costing us what makes that imagination worth having.
