During a critical time of the Covid pandemic, BETANO & Oxygen put at the same table HoReCa and health representatives, through the „Table for Two” initiative, a campaign aimed to support the most affected sectors. Between December 17th 2020 and January 15th 2021, together with CSR Nest Association, 15.000 warm lunches were delivered to the medical staff from five hospitals in Romania.

During the campaign, 15 restaurants in four cities were supported and ensured a constant number of orders to help them continue their business. On a daily basis, the kitchen staff prepared diverse menus that reached over 2.300 medical personnel in emergency and intensive care departments of five hospitals in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Craiova.
2.094 kilometers were covered by 27 couriers during the 30 days of campaign, in order to ensure daily warm menus prepared by 132 talented hands. Through this project, BETANO expressed their gratitude towards the efforts of the medical staff and supported the core activity of small family businesses or owned by small Romanian entrepreneurs, extremely vulnerable in the pandemic context, restaurants with a good reputation among consumers. The openness with which the project has been received by the local community gave BETANO confidence to extend it at a regional level, as well, under the same concept and format, in Portugal.
